Dear All
Firstly to introduce myself: I was very pleased to be elected the
Eastern Region chairman at the October AGM. I joined FVS Tri having been
in a running club for years, and have competed at sprint, olympic and
half ironman distances. When approached to stand for the Eastern Region
chairman I saw it as an opportunity to give back something to the sport
that I enjoy so much (don’t ask me about turbo training though!). From
attending an early October committee meeting as an observer and the AGM,
I can see that it is going to be a lively year.
At the AGM there were other changes on the committee which now consists
of:

Treasurer: Simon Edwards (Tri–Anglia)
Secretary: Simon Perkins (Tri-Force)
Keith Perry (FVS Tri)
Richard Fuller (East Essex Triathlon Club)
Tom Cudmore (Triathlon Essex)
The region continues to be supported by our regional development manager
Ceri Winter.
Although Keith Perry stood down as chairman at the AGM he agreed to stay
on the committee, and during the AGM was persuaded to become the
Region’s referee coordinator.
Dave Parry and Dennis Spashett retired from the committee and I would
like to add my thanks for their work for the region.
I attach the minutes for the AGM and the accounts as agreed at the AGM
(unfortunately the latter were not available at the AGM itself). Please

The next meeting of the committee is on 16th November , 7 pm, at

As discussed after the AGM representatives from clubs are very welcome
to join the meeting and contribute, although they will not have a vote
when one is necessary.
