WT10 Saffron Walden Triathlon - new Club Cup

Message from Matt Hinton, Race Director for the Saffron Walden Triathlon:- 

Walden Tri are planning to introduce a new Club Cup in our summer Sprint Triathlon, which is on Sunday June 20th, 2010.  We would like invite Eastern Region Clubs to send their best athletes to compete for this new prize.  The best 3x male performances per club will count towards the male prize and similarly the best 3x female performances per club will count towards the female prize.  There are not restrictions on the number of club entries, although only the top 3 performances count.  There will be a prestigious trophy for the winning teams to retain for the year.

The Walden Triathlon has gone from strength to strength in recent years, having won Regional Event of the Year in 2008, we improved our participant satisfaction scores in 2009.  You may also have recently seen the Walden Triathlon profiled in the February edition of 220 as one of the toughest triathlons featured.  We hope that this addition to the race will be a further positive development and will attract more of the talent from around the region.
